Could Diamond Shape Reveal Personality Types?
In a rather unique & intriguing extended study, Saul Spero, a noted gemologist and the author of "Diamonds, Love, and Compatibility: So You Think You've Got a Gem, Exposition Press, 1977", spent 25 years interviewing over 50,000 women, in an attempt to develop a system to predict personality types based on a person's first three preferences of diamond shapes -- in this book, Spero discusses the six main diamond shapes: 1) round, 2) oval, 3) pear, 4) heart, 5) marquise and 6) square or rectangle.
Was Spero successful in finding a correlation between the personality of an individual and the preferred shapes of the diamonds?
According to Spero, whether young or old, poor or wealthy, if a woman has a strong affinity for any of these shapes, she can be classified as follows - note that below personality profiles are for women who selected only one diamond shape; most women prefer more than one diamond shape which is why Spero also evaluated personality types in terms of their second & third preferences -- refer to Spero's book for more detailed discussions supported by examples.
